Our Atelier im Ersten, established in 2019, is located in the heart of Vienna’s city center, just a few minutes’ walk from St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Spanning a spacious 180 square meters across two floors, we invite connoisseurs and lovers of handcrafted and unique jewelry to explore our creations. Our offerings include artful statement pieces, our own collections, bespoke customer designs, as well as personalized engagement and wedding rings. Additionally, we provide a platform for both national and international jewelry artists to showcase their creations. Through close collaboration, we enrich our assortment and create an exciting and diverse selection that offers something special for every taste. We have incorporated fair sapphires from Sri Lanka, sourced from Ceylons Munich, into our collection, with a strong focus on fair and transparent trade as well as ethical working conditions. Similarly, we prioritize sustainability when it comes to our gold. We source it exclusively from Austria’s Ögussa Gold and Silver Refinery, which obtains its precious metals primarily through recycling European scrap metal. This eco-friendly "urban mining" approach eliminates the need for new mining sites and allows for the sustainable reuse of gold already in circulation. In this way, we contribute to responsible jewelry craftsmanship.

Angelina: My first self-designed piece was a custom ring with a rare Padparadscha sapphire. I spent hours crafting the perfect setting. When the stone finally fit, I was filled with pride. It was perfect.
My favorite place in Vienna is the Burggarten. With a view of the Hofburg, surrounded by greenery and often accompanied by street musicians, it’s a peaceful spot right in the city center.
Discovering a traditional Viennese coffeehouse and strolling through the side streets of the First District – that’s the real Vienna feeling for me: quiet, charming, and timeless.
Our brand stands for handcrafted jewelry from Vienna, top quality, and innovative design. We use special, sustainable materials and focus on timeless, unique pieces full of character.
My absolute favorite shopping spot in Portugal is Rua Garrett in Lisbon. Small boutiques, local designers, and cozy cafés make shopping there a special experience.
Angelina Kafka and Ivana Stingic founded Atelier im Ersten in 2018. With passion for goldsmith craft and jewelry design, they support young talents. This creative space combines tradition, sustainable materials, and innovative unique pieces.
