Founded in Vancouver, Canada, by Salzburg-born designer Bettina Mueller Reichl, the brand brings together European craftsmanship with the functional clarity of the Canadian West Coast. Each cape is crafted in Europe using a proprietary three-layer high-performance fabric. Salzburg is a beautiful city, especially in summer during the festival season, when it feels infused with music and culture. Depending on the time of year, the city reveals different facets — at times vibrant and international, and at others, between seasons, quietly belonging to us.
I designed and sewed my first garment at the age of sixteen — a black-and-white, hand-painted cocktail dress.
I love the Mönchsberg, especially the Stadtalm. On sunny afternoons, whether in summer or winter, I like to sit there with a coffee and look out over my city.
A visit to the Augustiner Bräu is a must: a freshly poured beer straight from the brewery, enjoyed with your own picnic or freshly sliced radish from the buffet.

When I arrived in Vancouver, it felt like it was raining constantly. Every day, I faced the same choice: stay dry or look good. I refused to accept that compromise. That moment marked the beginning of Cape de Coeur.
