Colorful and Unique Coats

What did you want to be when you were a child?

For many girls, becoming a fashion designer is a childhood dream. For me, it was different. I wasn’t interested in fashion at all back then. BUT! That changed when, at age 14, my great-grandmother—who was 92 at the time—taught me how to sew on her old, foot-powered Singer sewing machine. I fell in love with this craft right away.

To this day, I’m fascinated by how fabric takes shape—and how small details and technical solutions make a garment more functional and better.

I’m a functional designer. Beauty and aesthetics are important to me, but above all, a coat must protect, allow freedom of movement, and serve the wearer. At the same time, it says something about the person wearing it. Because first impressions count.

I studied fashion design at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest and founded ille-olla in 2009.

Today, I design unique, sporty-elegant, and colorful coats and jackets in small batches for women and men—for an active urban lifestyle and outdoor activities.
