Tandlas began as a passion for design with history – for furniture and objects that tell stories beyond passing trends. Founded by art historian Elisabeth Souvan, Tandlas blends art expertise, sustainability, and a discerning eye for design in its curated collection of 20th-century vintage pieces. What started as an online shop has grown into a beautiful showroom in Vienna, where people can discover pieces with soul – each carrying its own past and finding a new place in the present.

Vienna is a city where history quietly lingers – between cafés, museums, and strolls through the streets. Here, tradition meets modern spirit. This balance inspires Tandlas: design with soul, far from anything fleeting.
My favourite place? The flea market at Naschmarkt, early on a Saturday morning. With a cup of coffee in hand, my love for vintage began there – searching for hidden treasures with my father among stories of the past.
No visit to Vienna is complete without a traditional coffeehouse. Between clinking porcelain, the aroma of a Melange, and the gentle hum of voices, the city shows its finest side – best enjoyed with a notebook instead of a phone, at Café Weimar just around the corner from Tandlas.
At Tandlas, design expertise meets intuition. Each piece is chosen with an eye for what truly matters: quality, authenticity, and character. Vintage – but with substance.
London – where I studied and deepened my love for design. A stroll along Portobello Road Market still feels magical: surrounded by antiques, teacups, and stories from every era.
