Heroes' Square in Budapest
Heroes' Square (Hősök tere) is one of Budapest’s most iconic landmarks, located at the end of Andrássy Avenue. It features the Millennium Monument, built in 1896 to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of the Hungarian conquest of the Carpathian Basin. The square is flanked by the Museum of Fine Arts and the Hall of Art, and it honors Hungary’s national leaders and important historical figures.
